The chain saw will not start.
The lock button on the power
switch has not been pressed in.
Press the lock button on the power
switch.
The kickback guard has released
(handle in front position).
Reset the kickback guard.
The fuse has tripped.
Replace the fuse.
The battery is mot correctly
inserted.
Check the battery.
The overload protection for the
battery has tripped.
Wait 20 seconds before starting.
The chain and/or bar get hot and
produce smoke.
The oil tank is empty.
Fill up with oil.
The oil hole in the bar is blocked.
Clear the oil hole and chain slot.
The chain is too tight.
Check and slacken the chain.
The sprocket on the bar needs
lubricating.
Lubricate the sprocket on the bar.
The saw does not saw well.
The chain is fitted backwards.
Check the chain and fit in the
correct direction of rotation.
The chain is worn.
File or replace the chain.
The chain is dry.
Impurities in the oil tank.
Empty the oil tank and fill with
new oil.
The ventilation hole in the oil filler
cap is clogged.
Clear the ventilation hole.
Fouling in the bar.
Clear and clean the bar.
The oil outlet is blocked.
Clear the oil outlet.
The chain brake does not trip.
Problem with the release
mechanism in the kickback guard.
