6.  (Foot Control) Visually inspect the foot control pedal for any build-up of debris or indication of damage. Ensure the pedal 

moves freely.

7.  (Foot Control) Pedal Check

• 

Attach a Gold or Platinum motor to the foot control.

• 

Connect the foot control to a compressed gas source.

• 

Depress the foot control and run the motor for a short duration.

• 

Release the foot control and observe the motor. 

NOTE:

  If the motor continues to run aft er the foot pedal control lever is released, 

DO NOT

 use and return the foot 

control to MPSS for service.
