8. After the fondue

Unplug the appliance from the mains socket.
Allow the appliance and the remaining contents to cool down.
Remove any fat or oil in order to clean the appliance:
Remove solid fat with a wooden or plastic scraper.

Deep-frying oil
Filter the remaining oil through a fine sieve and pour it into bottles. Store
the bottles in a cool and dark place until you want to reuse the oil.
Dispose of fat or oil which cannot be reused in a plastic bag in the household
rubbish. Never pour fat that is still liquid into the toilet or down a drain. As the
fat solidifies, it could block the pipes.
9. Protective
devices
The appliance is equipped with a device to prevent overheating. The overheat-
ing cut-out is triggered when the appliance is heated up with nothing in it or with
too little in it, for example, or if there is solidified fat inside and the temperature has
been set too high.
If the overheating cut-out has been triggered, please contact the customer service
department.
10. Cleaning and care
The appliance must be cleaned after each use.
WARNING!
Live components. There is a risk of electric shock.
Never immerse the appliance in water or other liq-
uids. – if the appliance does fall into liquid, under no
circumstances should you attempt to touch it. Discon-
nect the mains plug first!
Always pull out the plug before cleaning the appliance.
WARNING!
To prevent burns, allow the appliance to cool down
completely before cleaning.
