19. Using Memeo Backup
You will find the backup software Memeo Instant Backup on the software CD
supplied with the product. You can install this when installing the LifeCloud
agent (“Using the LifeCloud agent” on page 77).
How to set up the backup function with Memeo Instant Backup on your Life-
Cloud system:
Creating a network drive for data backup
Connect to the LifeCloud system via the LifeCloud agent on your PC as
described in “Explore my LifeCloud folders” on page 78.
Click on the icon “network drive(s)”.
To back up data in a public folder, log in with the appropriate user ac-
count.
Select a drive letter (e.g. “
Z:
”).
Select the folder in which the backup copies of the data are to be stored
(e.g. “
Z:
”).
Check the box “
Restore Connection at Windows logon
”.
Backing up data with Memeo Backup
Start Memeo Instant Backup by clicking on the “Memeo Backup” icon on
the desktop.
In the “
Help
” menu, click on the entry “
Register
” and enter the product
key which is located on the sleeve of the software CD supplied with the
product.
Skip the start page by clicking on
“
No Thanks, I want to start a Backup now
”.
Now select the network drive you have just created as the target for the
data backup (in the example above:
(Z:)
)
Click on “
Start Backup
”.
