A.1. SAFETY CONDITIONS
After removing any housing parts and electronic assemblies it’s
possible to get access to live parts. It‘s essential to ensure that the
subsequent safety rules are strictly observed:
S
ervicing of electronic equipment must be performed by qualified
personnel only.
B
efore removing covers the equipment has to be switched off and the
mains cable unplugged.
W
hen the equipment is open power supply capacitors have to be
discharged with the help of a suitable resistor.
W
hen the equipment is open components, that carry havy electrical
loads, such as power transistors and resistors as well as solenoid
coils should not be touched before a cooling off interval, as a
precaution to avoid burns.
D
uring servicing unprotected and operating equipment never touch
bare wires or circuitry.
D
uring servicing unprotected and operating equipment use insulated
tools only.
D
uring servicing unprotected and operating equipment never touch
metal semiconductor cases because they may carry high voltages.
F
or removing and installing electronic components, please follow the
recommandations concerning the handling of MOS components.
