ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
WARNING : On completion of the
sterilisation cycle in autoclave, the scaler
handpiece remains at the sterilisation
temperature for a long time. Use appropriate
precautions when extracting the scaler
handpiece from the autoclave to prevent
injury to the operator.
CAUTION : Wait for the scaler handpiece
to cool down completely before use.
6.4.2.1 Special Information
Sterilisation parameters, in steam autoclave, used in Great Britain:
• Temperature: 134° C; • Time: 3 minutes.
7 ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
1. Always turn the appliance off before
performing maintenance works;
2. Periodically check the cord of the
scaler handpiece. If the material is
damaged or deteriorated, contact the
manufacturer of the dental unit to have
it replaced
8 METHODS AND PRECAUTIONS FOR
DISPOSAL
WARNING : Hospital waste. Treat the
following objects as hospital waste:
• Inserts, when worn or broken;
• Inserts tightening wrench, when worn or
broken.
Disposable materials and materials that carry
biological risk must be disposed of according
to local regulations in force regarding
hospital waste.
WARNING: When handling the inserts,
pay particular attention to the sharp, pointed,
irregular parts to avoid any wounds or
injuries.
COMPACT PIEZO P2K must be disposed of and
treated as waste subject to separate collection.
Failure to comply with the previous points can
result in a penalty pursuant to the directive
on waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE).
The purchaser is entitled to deliver the device
to be disposed of to the dealer who supplies
them with new equipment; at Mectron,
instructions for proper disposal are available.
