10 Configuring VLAN
By default, all switch ports are associated with the default VLAN (vlan eth0.1), and are in accessible
mode. You shouldn’t delete vlan1.
10.1 Create VLAN
1.
Login in to your device’s LuCI web interface.
2.
Under Network tab, click on Switch.
3.
When clicking on ADD, a new VLAN will be created with ID 2.
4.
Associate each switch port with a VLAN. In the given example, ETH3 and ETH1 were linked
together in VLAN eth0.2. ETH2 and CPU (eth0) were linked together in VLAN eth0.1.
5.
Click on SAVE.
Notice that using this configuration, the device is only through ETH2 reachable.
10.2 Create Interface
1.
Under Network tab, click on Interface.
2.
Click on ADD NEW INTERFACE…
3.
Add a name for the interface (example VLAN).
4.
Set protocol to DHCP Client.
5.
Choose Switch VLAN: “eth0.2”
6.
Click on Submit.
