4.2.1
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR HT (HIGH TEMPERATURE) PUMPS
To avoid problems caused by the phenomenon of cavitation at these temperatures, it is advisable to feed the
inlet pump with a pressure, measured directly near the suction inlet, of 3 bar. This pressure serves to ensure
a better life of the components (seals, valves), and performance. The graph below helps in choosing the most
efficient supply pressure.
A supply pressure of 3 bar, even with low liquid temperature (for example 45°C),
makes
the life of the pump
(seals, valves) even longer. Hydraulic supply system to the pump should be as short as possible and it
shou
ldn’t have bottlenecks, impediments, curves or fittings “T”.
4.2.2
DELIVERY LINE
The pumped liquid outlet is located in the upper part of the head. The left or right side of the pump can be
used indifferently.
- The delivery duct must be suitable to withstand the working pressures of the pump. Passages that are too
narrow can cause pressure losses in the lance.
- The maximum admissible pressure value must be indicated in all pipes, it must not be lower than the
maximum pressure of the Pump, shown on the plate.
- The first section connected to the pump must be flexible in order to avoid forcing the connections and to
isolate the vibrations produced by the pump to the system.
- For those applications where pump pulsations on the discharge line are harmful, install a properly sized
pulsation damper.
ATTENTION: Use high pressure pipes and fittings suitable for the pressures of
expected work.
