Before Troubleshooting

Problems with the audio system can be caused by factors such as wrong operation and outside noises.
Eliminate these causes before troubleshooting.

• Sound quality poor or not in

stereo

(1) Is TUNER adjusted correctly?
(2) Is BASS-TREBLE adjusted correctly?

(1) Is speaker damaged?

Causes of noise

(1)  Defective audio system or improper installation
(2)  Noise from multipath or neon signs (ambient noise)
(3)  Vehicle-induced noise

Because ambient noise is only a temporary occurrence, this section deals only with vehicle-induced
noises.

wave and a reflected wave at the same time, which
