CLEANING YOUR IRON
PLEASE READ FIRST
We recommend cleaning your iron once per month to remove impurities that may build up inside
the Ceramic Soleplate over the use of your iron. When the soleplate needs to be cleaned, the
Cleaning Icon on the Digital Interface will illuminate.
The self-cleaning function does produce hot steam and water during the process; hold iron away
from your body as water/steam exit the Ceramic Soleplate during cleaning.
1. Ensure iron is unplugged.
2. Fill the Removable Water Tank halfway with water following “Filling Removable Water Tank”
and close Water Fill Cover.
3. Place iron in an upright position. Place Steam Control
& Self-Clean Dial in the “Off” position.
4. Turn on iron and set the temperature to MAX.
Heat to MAX, then turn the iron off and unplug.
5. Hold the iron over the sink with the Ceramic
Soleplate facing down.
6. Set the Steam Control & Self-Clean Dial to Self-Clean.
Hot water and steam will come out of the Soleplate.
7. Continue to hold the Steam Control & Self-Clean Dial down until all the water has emptied
from the Removable Water Tank. You may have to move the iron back and forth to remove
most of the water from the Removable Water Tank.
8. When water/steam stops flowing, release the Steam Control & Self-Clean Dial and stand the
iron up on its heel to cool down.
9. Once the iron is cool, wipe down the Ceramic Soleplate with a cold damp cloth.
10. When ready to use again, plug the iron in and let heat for about 2 minutes to dry out any
remaining water.
Caution: Keep skin and body away from hot water and steam as it is released from the iron.
