IRONING BASICS
For Silk/Wool:
Press the Temperature Control
Button twice.
For Nylon/Synthetics:
Press the Temperature Control Button
once. This is the lowest setting.
For Cotton:
Press the Temperature Control
Button three times.
*For Steam Ironing and using the Removable Water Tank, see the following pages.
For Linen/MAX:
Press the Temperature Control
Button four times.
SETTING TEMPERATURE AND TURNING ON THE IRON
Rest unplugged iron on its Heel and plug into a grounded electrical outlet.
You will hear a beep when plugged in, but the iron is NOT heating up yet.
TURNING OFF YOUR IRON
Press down on the Temperature Control Button for about three seconds. The lights will turn
off and a beep will sound. Unplug the iron and stand it upright on its heel to cool down.
The iron will remain hot after turning off, so allow the iron time to cool to room temperature
before handling and storing.

HORIZONTAL AUTO SHUT-OFF
1. The iron will shut off automatically after 30 seconds of sitting in the ironing position (horizontal).
2. Auto Shut-Off indicator light will appear as a blinking pause ( l l ) symbol, indicating the iron is
in Auto Shut-Off mode. Moving the iron will turn it back on.
VERITCAL AUTO SHUT-OFF
1. The iron will switch off automatically between 7 to 10 minutes if the iron is left on its heel rest
position (vertical).
2. Auto Shut-Off indicator light will appear as a blinking pause ( l l ) symbol, indicating the iron
is in Auto Shut-Off mode. Moving the iron will turn it back on.
Note: After Auto Shut-Off, the iron will take about 60 seconds to reach its previous
Soleplate temperature.
FOR DRY IRONING
1. Make sure the Steam Control & Self-Clean Dial
is set in the ‘Off’ position

2. Plug the iron into an outlet while on its heel.
3. Press the Temperature Control Button to turn
the iron on, and press again to set the desired
temperature setting. See diagrams on
page 7 for details.
4. Preheat time takes about 60 seconds,
depending on the setting.
5. Begin to iron.

TEMPERATURE SETTINGS
Once the iron is plugged in, press the Temperature Control Button to turn the iron on, and press
again to adjust the setting on the Digital Display according to the type of fabric you are ironing.
These settings apply to both dry and steam* ironing.
