No oven operation in Bake
or Broil.
No voltage to oven control........................

Check for 120 VAC at oven control
input. If no voltage is present, check
wiring.
No gas flows to burner;
ignitor glows red.
Failed ignitor .............................................
Failed gas valve .......................................

Test ignitor (see "Testing
Procedures").

Check gas valve for continuity.
Gas flows to bake/broil
burner, but burner does not
light.
Ignitor positioned too far from burner .......
Dirt/grease in orifice or burner..................
Failed ignitor .............................................

Reposition ignitor closer to burner.
•
Clean orifice or burner.
•
Test ignitor (also, ignitor should glow
red).
Fan motor does not operate.
No power to fan motor..............................
Failed fan motor, winding or frozen
shaft..........................................................

Check for 120 VAC at fan motor. If
no voltage is present, check wiring.
•
Check motor winding for continuity
and for a frozen shaft. Also check
wiring.
Popping sound heard when
burner extinguishes.
This is a normal sound that occurs with
some types of gas when a hot burner is
turned off ..................................................

This is not a safety hazard and will
not damage the appliance.
Moisture condensation on
oven window (if equipped)
when oven is in use.

Leave oven door ajar for one or two
minutes to allow moisture to escape.

prevent excess water from seeping
