c) Soil feeding and emptying the machine
The soil hopper contains 1,500 litres and can be fed in various
ways without the workflow at the machine being disturbed or
interrupted.
Feeding can take place:
•
manually by means of a shovel
•
using a wheelbarrow
•
using a conveyor belt
•
using a shovel loader
•
using a big bale chopper
•
and so on.
The remaining soil can be conveyed out of the machine by
opening the soil flaps. If the soil heap gets too high in front of
the soil flap opening, the potting machine must be pulled back a
bit. Cleaning the elevator deflection also takes place by means
of the soil flap openings.
d) Adjusting drill depth and pressure intensity of plates
After fixing the size of the soil drill and the matching plate,
drilling depth must be set according to the bale’s height of the
product to be potted.
