Use only original accessories from the
manufacturer in order to guarantee
that there is no interference that may
prevent the device from working and
to avoid possible damage.
BEFORE INITIAL USE
1. Clean the device as described in the
“Care and Descaling” chapter.
2. To remove any possible production
residues, fi ll the kettle up to the
MAX
marking (

) with drinking water before
you fi rst use it and switch it on. To
do this, follow the instructions in the
following chapters.
3. Perform this process twice. Do not
drink this water!
FUNCTIONS
Temperature Levels
The device has four different temperature
levels:
40°C – e. g. for baby food
60°C – e. g. for green tea
90°C – e. g. for fruit tea
100°C – boiling water; e. g. for black tea,
herbal tea, coffee
They are set using the fi elds
+
(

) and
–

). The number of degrees currently
selected fl ashes on the temperature level
indicator (

) and also appears on the tem-
perature display (
9
). As soon as the heat-
ing process is started, the set temperature
level lights up constantly and the others
go out. The temperature display switches
to the current temperature of the water.
Keep-Warm Function
The device has a keep-warm function. This
is activated via the fi eld
KEEP WARM
(
15
).
When the keep-warm function is active,
after the heating process the set temper-
ature level fl ashes in the corresponding
indicator (
8
) on the display (

).
After 30 minutes, when the fi eld
START / CANCEL
(
14
) is pressed or when
the kettle is taken off the base station,
the device switches off automatically.
SET-UP AND CONNECTiON
Please Note!
■
Only connect the base station to a
plug socket that is properly installed.
The mains voltage must be the same
as that stated in the technical data for
the base station.
■
Do not place the device below kitch-
en wall units or similar cupboards. The
rising steam could cause damage to
them!
■
Lay the connecting cable in such
a way that it does not become
squashed or bent and does not come
into contact with hot surfaces.
1. Unwind the connecting cable on the
bottom of the base station (

) to the
length you want and place it in the
slot which is provided for it on the
edge.
2. Always set up the device with a clear
space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and
clear space above it (at least 30 cm)
on the kitchen worktop or another
fl at, solid and heat-resistant surface
that is resistant to splashing.
3. Plug the mains plug into a properly
installed plug socket. The plug socket
must be readily accessible so that the
connection to the mains can quickly
be isolated.
