To reply to the incoming message, press and release the
P-T-T button to stop the channel scan, then press and hold
the P-T-T button while speaking into microphone.
To remain on the active channel, and stop scanning, press
the P-T-T button. The radio scan sequence will stop on the
current channel. If you wish to return to another channel,
follow instructions for selecting a channel. If you wish to
re-activate scan, repeat the steps above.
Beep Tone (ON / OFF) -
You may set an audible tone to
occur when any button (except the P-T-T) is pushed. To
activate, press the MODE / LOCK button five times or until
the icon flashes in upper left corner of LCD panel. Press
the UP (
I
) or DOWN (
J
) button to toggle the beep tone
on or off (the word "ON" or "OFF" will appear above the
battery level icon). Press and release the P-T-T button to
select. The icon will become solid to confirm the beep
tone is active (ON). To turn off the beep tone, follow
previous steps but toggle to the word "OFF" (off setting).
Press and release the P-T-T button to select, or press
and release the WX button to cancel and return to the
operational mode.
Special NOTE:
It is recommended that the beep tone be
turned off when using the TruTalk speaker microphone
accessories. (See page 20).
