Receiving RTP Stream
IP phone can receive an RTP stream from the pre-configured multicast address(es) without involving SIP signaling,
and can handle the incoming multicast paging calls differently depending on the configurations of Paging Barge
and Paging Priority Active.
You can specify up to 31 multicast addresses and channel(s) that the phone listens to on the network.
• RTP stream is listened in the hands-free (speakerphone) mode by default. If you want to listen the RTP
stream using the engaged audio device (speakerphone, handset or headset), contact your system
administrator for more information.
• Fixed volume to play RTP stream for specified paging group is configurable by your system
administrator.
Paging Barge
Paging barge parameter defines the priority of the voice call in progress. If the priority of an incoming multicast
paging call is lower than that of the active call, it will be ignored automatically. If this parameter is disabled in the
Paging Barge list, the voice call in progress takes precedence over all the incoming multicast paging calls.
Valid values in the Paging Barge list:
• 1 to 31: Defines the priority of an active call,1 with the highest priority and 31 with the lowest.
• Disabled: The voice call in progress will take precedence over all the incoming paging calls.

Paging Priority Active
Paging priority active parameter decides how the IP phone handles the incoming multicast paging calls when there
is an ongoing multicast paging call. If this parameter is enabled, the IP phone automatically answers the incoming
call with higher or equal priority and the previous multicast paging call is put on hold. The incoming multicast paging
calls with lower priorities will be ignored. If the parameter is disabled, the IP phone will automatically ignore all
