• Select a saw blade that is suitable for the material you intend to cut.
• Only use a properly sharpened saw blade.
• The saw blade must be labelled with the maximum speed, which is the
equal to or greater than the speed indicated on the rating plate of the
saw.
• Do not use any damaged or deformed saw blades.
20. Avoid awkward positions of the hands where there is a risk of either
one or both hands suddenly slipping and coming into contact with
the saw blade.
21. Let the saw blade reach its maximum speed before cutting.
22. Slowly lower the saw head so as not to overload the motor and to
prevent the saw blade from catching.
23. Before removing material that has jammed, let the saw blade come to
a stop, switch the saw off and pull the mains plug out of the socket.
24. Once you have finished cutting, hold the saw head down, let go of
the switch and wait until the saw blade has come to a stop before you
move your hands.
25. Only use saw blades that comply with EN 847-1.
26. Use a splitting wedge that corresponds to the saw blade.
• The splitting wedge must be thicker than the body of the saw blade to
prevent the wood from exerting pressure directly on the rotating saw
blade.
• However, the splitting wedge must be thinner than the cut so that the
saw blade can be pushed through the cut.
• The splitting wedge and saw blade must correspond to one another.
27. Wear gloves when changing the saw blade or handling rough
work pieces.
Store unused saw blades in a package to prevent injury.
It is recommended to carry the saw blades in a container whenever
practicable.
28. Replace the bench insert if it is worn.
29. Never use the saw to cut materials other than those specified by the
manufacturer.
30. Only use the saw if the protective devices are located in the
designated position and if the saw is in good condition and is
properly maintained.
Damaged protective devices and parts must be
properly repaired or replaced by an authorised workshop to the extent not
otherwise specified in the user manual.
