Safety instructions for the table-mitre saw duo
ATTENTION!
For your own safety, only operate the saw after you have read the
safety instructions.
1. Check the machine:
A. to determine whether any parts of the machine are missing, bent or
otherwise defective;
B. to determine whether the electronics or the connector cord are defective.
Replace all missing or damaged parts or have defective electrical parts
repaired by a qualified workshop before you use the machine.
2. Plan your work so that your eyes, hands, face and hearing are
protected.
Wear safety glasses that comply with the requirements of the
DIN standard 58214. When using the machine, debris could be projected
into your eyes and could permanently damage your vision. You can obtain
safety glasses in any well-stocked hardware store. Only use safety glasses
in accordance with the DIN standard 58214. Using other glasses could
cause eye injury if the safety glass breaks.
3. Wear a proper dust mask and use an extraction device in closed
rooms,
as wood dust (oak, beech etc.) is hazardous to health. The machine
must not be used to cut materials containing asbestos.
4. Be absolutely sure to follow the guidelines below to prevent the
saw blade from catching in the kerf or the work pieces from being
projected:
• Select a saw blade that is suitable for the respective cut. Only use the
saw to cut wood or materials similar to wood. Other materials could
shatter or the saw blade could catch in them and pose dangers.
• The arrow on the saw blade indicating the direction of rotation must
point in the same direction as the arrow imprinted on the saw.
• Make sure that the saw blade is sharp, undamaged and properly
attached. Press the saw head down when the mains plug has been
pulled.
• Use your hand to turn the saw blade to check for proper rotation. Tilt
the saw head to the 45° position. If the saw blade comes into contact
with any point of the bench, readjust the saw head (see chapter
“Adjustments”).
• Keep the saw blade and the clamping surfaces of the saw blade flanges
clean. The saw blade flanges must always be mounted so that the
