MOUNTING CUTTERHEAD GUARD
(Fig. 10-11)
- Loosen the two socket head cap screws M6 x 25 mm
(A) (Fig. 10) on the base and remove them.
- Align the holes on the cutterhead guard (B) and base,
then put an M6 flat washer (C) (Fig. 11) before inserting
a socket head cap screw M6 x 35 mm (D) (Fig. 11)
into each hole.
- Tighten the two socket head cap screws M6 x 35 mm.
FASTENING JOINTER TO SUPPORTING
SURFACE (FIg. 12)
If during operation, there is any tendency for the
jointer to tip over, slide or walk on the supporting
surface, the jointer must be secured to the supporting
surface.
- Mark the position of the mounting holes on the
supporting surface.
- Drill holes at each of the marked positions, adjusting
the diameter and depth of the holes to the socket head
cap screws M8 x 45 mm used.
- Place the bench jointer on the supporting surface
and insert the socket head cap screws into the four
mounting holes (A) (Fig. 12) in the jointer base, two
of which are shown.
- Firmly tighten the four socket head cap screws.

ADJUSTMENTS
DEPTH OF CUT ADJUSTMENT (Fig. 13)
The jointer can be set to cut any depth from a very thin
shaving to 1/8" deep. A dual English/Metric scale (A)
(Fig. 13), and pointer (B) are provided to indicate the
depth of cut. To adjust for depth of cut, turn planing
depth adjustment knob (C) clockwise to lower and
counterclockwise to raise the infeed table.
