06. LIMIT SWITCH PROGRAMMING

WARNING:

if possible, always install the drop awning in such a way that the upper stop is learned by "pressure" on a mechanical stop. The learning of the limit switch by
"pressure" allows the motor to automatically compensate for variations due to the adjustment of the blind and other possible factors of error. Periodically check
the status of the drop awning and (if present) of the locking devices that delimit the limit switches. If a limit switch is learned by "pressure", the motor will search
the pressure point during normal operation. For this reason, once the stroke has been programmed, it is forbidden to remove any locking devices that delimit the
limit switches. In order to do not stress the pressure points too much, choose a motor with power not higher than enough to move correctly the drop awning.

The motor provides the possibility to program the limit switches according to 4 different modes:

1. «no hooks» mode (see section 6.1)

2. «manual hooks» mode (see section 6.2)

3. «automatic hooks» mode (see section 6.3)

4. «KLIVER motorized hooks» mode (see section 6.4)

In the case of installation of several motors,  must be programmed (and therefore powered) one motor at a time.
The installation must be carried out by a qualified technician. Before starting to work on the motor, carefully read the installation procedure. In case

of doubt, contact your supplier.

Installation must be performed using an ARCO, VISIO, KORT, KUADRO, FLUTE or equivalent transmitter. Before starting the installation, read the

transmitter instruction manual and identify the UP, STOP, DOWN, PROG buttons necessary for motor programming.

NOTE:

as long as the motor does not have a valid stroke in memory, you can move the motor in "hold-to-run" using the command buttons.

To continue with the installation, it is necessary to disconnect the motor and follow the procedures described.

05. ELECTRONIC CONTROLS

MODO is designed for the handling of drop awning without hooks, or fitted with manual hooks, or fitted with hooks with automatic hooking / unhooking. In
presence of hooks, they must be installed in proximity of the low limit switch.

There is no management of hooks. The preferred position can be set in any position. It is possible to memorize radio sensors.

05.1 «NO HOOKS» MODE

WARNING! DO NOT memorize radio sensors when motor is set on this mode!!

If during the upward movement, the motor encounters an obstacle in the vicinity of the lower limit switch, the motor interprets the obstacle such as the
presence of the manual hooks, stops the upward movement and keeps the fabric taut.
OPERATION OF ENGAGEMENT:
- Command the downward movement and wait until the motor reaches the lower limit switch
- Activate the hooks manually
- Command the upward movement: when it meets the hooks, the motor stops the manoeuvre and keeps the fabric in tension (the up command is disabled)

OPERATION OF RELEASE:
- Command the downward movement: the motor returns to the lower limit
- Unlocks the hooks manually
- Command the upward movement

During the upward movement, outside of the «hooking area», if the motor encounters an obstacle it performs a brief downward movement to free the
structure from traction. The preferred position can be set in the area between the upper end stop and approximately 30 cm above the hooks.

05.2 «MANUAL HOOKS» MODE

The hooks must be installed near the lower limit switch. "Automatic hooks" means hook-and-release systems that operate in "step-by-step" mode. If during the
upward movement, the motor encounters an obstacle in the vicinity of the lower limit switch, the motor interprets the obstacle such as the presence of the
automatic hooks, stops the upward movement and keeps the fabric taut. Commanding an upward movement, the motor goes to the lower limit switch, then
moves upward thus allowing automatic release from the hooks.

OPERATION OF ENGAGEMENT:

- Command the downward movement and wait until the motor performs the engagement manoeuvre (the down command is inhibited)

OPERATION OF RELEASE:

- Command the upward movement and wait until the motor performs the release manoeuvre

During the upward movement, outside of the «hooking area», if the motor encounters an obstacle it performs a brief downward movement to free the
structure from traction. The preferred position can be set in the area between the upper end stop and approximately 30 cm above the hooks.

NOTE:
- if the terminal bar is close to the hook and you press UP, it is possible that before perform the upward movement the motor performs an hooking /

unhooking operation

- any issues relating to the phase of engagement / release of the hooks must be search in their installation or in their mechanical characteristics. The

motor performs the standard manoeuvre required for the engagement / release of the most common hooks on the market. The motor manufacturer
declines all liability due to malfunction of the automatic hooks

- the memorization of radio sensors is allowed

. In fact, there are situations in which the motor may not be able to complete or

correctly interpret the command given by the sensor. In particular, if the hooking / unhooking system does not work correctly, ie the terminal bar can not
release due to malfunction of the hooking / unhooking system, with each transmission performed by the sensor the motor will perform the hooking /
unhooking maneuver (this could happen with variable period from 3 to 30 minutes, depending on the type of sensor). Therefore avoid using radio sensors
if the hooking / unhooking system is not fully efficient

but not recommended

05.3 «AUTOMATIC HOOKS» MODE / «KLIVER MOTORIZED HOOKS» MODE

The motor is able to detect the presence of an obstacle during the upward manoeuvre. If the obstacle is interpreted as a hook, the motor stops and keeps the
fabric in tension. If the obstacle is detected in such a position that it can not be a hook, the motor stops the upward movement and performs a quick downward
movement to free the structure by traction.

05.4 Obstacle detection on upward

Only if offset adapter is properly installed, the motor is able to detect the presence of obstacles during the downward movements. If the motor detects an
obstacle, the operation is stopped and the motor performs a wide upward movement to allow removal of the obstacle. During this manoeuvre, the manual
controls are disabled. The motor is able to detect obstacles that stop instantly the drop awning (ie such as to block firmly the operation); obstacles that block the
drop awning only partially might not be detected by the motor.
If necessary, you can inhibit this properties (see point 17 "Obstacle detection on downward").
