Masport F39 Room Sealed Freestanding Gas Fire
REMOVING VALVE
2) Undo the six screws holding the control
panel in place.
3) Disconnect all wires from the back of the
panel and then remove panel. You should
lay the panel on a soft cloth so it doesn't get
marked up. See diagram below.
4) Remove the two outside frame pieces by
removing two screws per side. See dia-
gram below.
5) At this point you should disconnect the gas
at the valve. You can access it through the
front now that the control panel is off, or you
can access it through the rear pedestal
cover plate.
6) Carefully remove the logs and lava rock.
7) Remove burner.
If your valve requires maintenance or replace-
ment, use the following instructions:
Note: Always close off the gas supply
before removing the valve.
1) Open front pedestal door. You may want
to put a soft cloth on the base of the unit so
that when the pedestal door is open it
doesn't scratch the paint.
Note: Use a magnetic type screwdriver
if possible.
8) Remove all 18 screws holding the burner
tray assembly in place.
9) Carefully lift the burner tray assembly out.
10) To replace the burner tray assembly, sim-
ply reverse these instructions.
MAINTENANCE
FIREBOX PAINT
The interior of the firebox is subject to extreme-
ly high flame temperatures. While the painted
surface is designed for high durability, the
combustion conditions can cause deteriora-
tion of the paint finish. This is not unique to
Masport Gas Fires.
If the surface discolors or blisters simply scuff
any loose paint from the firebox and lightly
respray with Masport high temperature paint.
