Zeroing Procedure

Zeroing is recommended after 500 hours of operation or whenever an offset in gas readings is discovered. Zeroing of

the Radius PCG is performed by the following procedure:

Note:

The presence of ambient air (0% CO2) in the EMMA Airway Adapter is of crucial importance for a successful

Zeroing. Special care should be taken to avoid breathing near the Airway Adapter before or during the Zeroing

procedure.

Start the Radius PCG by pressing the Power On button. See

Controls

on page 31.

Make sure that a new Airway Adapter is properly fitted. See

Attaching Airway Adapter

on page 23.

Press and hold down simultaneously the Power On and Alarm

Silence button until the Service Screen display the Service

code “C0” and the Service value “10”. Keep both buttons

depressed while the Service value starts "counting down" i.e.

displaying "9" - "8" - "7" etc. until "0" is displayed.

When the Service value “0” is shown, zeroing of the Radius

PCG is complete.*
