CAUTION:
There are two sharp needles that puncture the K-Cup
®
capsule. One is permanent and is located in the brewer
above the removable K-Cup
®
Capsule Holder and the other is in the bottom of the removable K-Cup
®
Capsule Holder. To
avoid risk of injury, do not put your fingers inside the K-Cup
®
Capsule Holder or inside or near the needle inside the brewer.
CAUTION:
There is extremely hot water in the K-Cup
®
Capsule Holder during the brewing process. To avoid risk of injury,
do not open the hinged front cover during the brewing process.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not remove the bottom cover of the brewer. No user serviceable parts
are inside. Repair should be done by authorized service personnel only.
UNPACKING:
1. Carefully unpack the brewer and all parts. Remove any tape, labels or packaging materials.
2. Wash Water Tank, Water Tank Lid, Drip Tray, Drip Tray Cover, K-Cup
®
Capsule Holder and Adapter for Ground Coffee with warm,
soapy water. Rinse well and dry all parts thoroughly.
3. Wipe exterior surfaces of the product with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust particles collected during packing and handling. NEVER
IMMERSE THE BREWER, CORD OR PLUG IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
4. Place Brewer on a solid, level, heat-resistant surface.
PREPARING FOR USE
CLEAN THE SYSTEM:
Before the first use, it is recommended to run a brew cycle using water only.
1. Fill the Water Tank to the MAX level.
2. Place the Water Tank on the Brewer and put the Lid on the Water Tank.
3. Raise the decorative front cover and make sure the K-Cup
®
Capsule Holder is properly inserted into the Brewer.
DO NOT
use a
K-Cup
®
when cleaning the system.
4. Close the decorative front cover of the Coffee Brewer.
5. Place a large cup or measuring cup, with a minimum capacity of 16 ounces, on the Drip Tray or beneath the Brew Spout with the
Drip Tray removed.
