Mounting Equipment
Sensor
Sensor placement is essential to ensure accuracy of the TankOptix System!

If utilizing an existing port on the tank, ensure the sensor is securely fastened to both
the provided adapter and the tank’s port.

Place the probe as central as possible in the tank to be measured, both across the width
and length, to minimize measurement errors due to leveling.

DO NOT mount probe in manways or adjacent to inlets, outlets, drains, or other
obstacles within the tank.
Panel & Display
Please reference Recommended Placement for each component of the system. Improper
placement of the equipment may result in damage to the system.
Antenna Placement
If the control panel is configured for TankOptix Cloud reporting; the system will include an
antenna. Mount provided external antenna on most elevated location possible, point upright,
attach strong magnetic base to a solid, flat metal object, and make sure antenna is
unobstructed from metal objects.
