Map Features
In the upper right corner of the GPS display is a cluster of 3 buttons.
1.)
Free/Follow/North Up Icon
o
Free
-
The map can be positioned in any orientation. Zoom IN/OUT or rotate the map by
using two fingers (pull apart to zoom in, pull together to zoom out). Slide the map up,
down or side to side by using one finger and dragging it across the screen.
o
Follow
-
This will always have the map oriented in the direction that the cursor is going
o
North Up -
This will have the map always oriented with North up
2.)
Home Icon
- Returns the screen to the cursor (your current location); this icon looks like the
sights of a scope.
3.)
2D/3D Icon
o
2D
is for normal viewing
o
3D
is if you have premium mapping software that allows unique 3D topographical views
Miscellaneous Map Information
Along the bottom of the screen is where your Latitude/Longitude is displayed, along with elevation and
other data. As your physical location changes, the cursor will move along with it, leaving a trail.
Zoom in/Zoom out is accomplished with two fingers (pull apart to zoom in, pull together to zoom out).
Panning/swiping must be done with one finger only by dragging it across the screen.
To mark your locations as a waypoint simply touch the “Waypoint” button on the lower right corner of
the GPS display. If you would like to mark a waypoint that is not your current location simply press and
hold with your finger on the screen where you would like the waypoint to be located. All waypoint
settings can be adjusted to your preferences by entering the “Waypoints” settings menu.
