MAPAL HTC Spannfutter / HTC Clamping Chuck
21
Caution
Sharp cutting edges on the tool
can cause cutting injuries.
Wear protective gloves during tool changes.
Caution
Minimum clamping depth in the HTC clamping chuck is not ob-
served.
If the minimum clamping depth is not respected, the permissible trans-
ferable torque will be reduced and the HTC clamping chuck may
break.
Comply with the values for minimum clamping depth as per
1: Minimum number of turns, minimum clamping depth and permis-
sible transferable torque
Caution
Tool length adjustment with the tool clamped.
Performing an axial or radial tool length adjustment while the tool is
completely clamped will result in damage to the HTC clamping chuck.
Do not perform a tool length adjustment while the tool is clamped.
Caution
The use of shanks with form B and E (DIN 1835) or shanks with
form HB and HE (DIN 6535)
may result in inaccurate radial run-out and inaccurate balancing quali-
ty of the entire system.
Only use shank forms A or perform a fine balancing of the entire
system.
Caution
If the bleeder screw with the red sealing is damaged,
stop using the HTC clamping chuck.
Do not open the bleeder screw with the red sealing. Do not damage
the bleeder screw.
If the bleeder screw is damaged, send the HTC clamping chuck to
MAPAL to be repaired.
Caution
Inadequate clamping to the stop
can affect the quality of the balancing and as a consequence cause
poor machining results. By insufficient clamping pressure, the trans-
missible tightening torque may not be fully assembled.
During clamping, always screw in the clamping screw to the stop.
Caution
Using a power screwdriver to clamp the clamping screw
will increase the wear on the clamping screw.
The clamping screw must only be clamped manually.
