For optimum ventilation, you must ensure that 

sufficient air can enter the bathroom. This is done 

either by creating an opening at the bottom of the door or 

by installing an air vent in the door or wall.

It is also important to draw fresh air into the house that is 

then expelled through the bathroom or laundry room, for 

instance.

In this case, it is a good idea to install fresh air vents in bed-

rooms and in the living room.
