1. General
Before starting to use the machine you need to read and fully understand the manual!!!
This manual contains important information about the proper way of installing, operating and
maintaining the equipment described in this manual. When using any lift table there are a different
kind of risks that you may incur, risks in personal injuries or property damage. Everyone who comes
into contact with the installation, maintenance or operation of the lift table must be fully familiar
with the contents of this manual. To protect yourself against personal injury or property damage you
need to follow the following information and instructions in this manual.
Every Mammuth lift table is manufactured in accordance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Every lift table is supplied with a manual including a declaration of conformity and maintenance
schedule. These must be stored and kept up to date properly.
Because of quality reasons constant improvements are going to be made on the equipment,
Valkenpower BV (holder “Mammuth”) reserves the right to alter specifications of the equipment
described in this manual.
2. Safety rules
1. Only instructed persons who are familiar with the entire contents of this manual and aware
of the dangers when using a lift table are allowed to use the lift table.
2. Use the lift table only for the purpose which it was designed for.
3. No adaptations/alternations are to be made to the lift table.
4. Before taking the lift table into use, it has to be tested without load, completely lift and then
lower the lift table and check if the safety features such as the pressure sensitive safety bar
and emergency stop button on the remote control function properly. In case one or both of
these do not function properly, you should immediately contact your Mammuth-retailer.
5. Always check the lift table for signs of deformation and mechanical damage previous to each
use.
6. Constantly keep an eye on the load during lifting, when it becomes instable, immediately
stop lifting.
7. Do NOT place the load too far to the ends or sides of the table, at all times place the load’s
center of gravity centered on the lift table.
8. Reparation and maintenance jobs may only be carried out by specialized persons/companies,
Valkenpower BV remains adhered for such jobs.
9. Unprofessional use of this lift table may cause serious injuries and damage to materials
and/or properties.
10. Prevent limbs from getting in between the scissor mechanism or under the lift table,
especially when loaded.
11. Wear personal safety gear such as safety footwear, gloves etc..
12. Only use the lift table on a clean, level and hard surface.
13. Keep other people and especially children at distance during use.
14. NEVER overload the lift table beyond its rated capacity.
15. It is strictly forbidden to make any adjustments/adaptations to the lift table.
