Installing the Batteries
Move the Battery Cartridge Chamber Release Lever in the direction of the arrow, Fig. 1, and then remove
the Battery Cartridge from the winder.
Insert 6 AA alkaline/manganese, or 6 AA NiCad batteries, into the Battery Chamber while matching the
polarity markings on the batteries with those of the cartridge, Fig. 2.
Battery Test
Turn the winder’s Power Switch to its ON position, and then push the applicable Battery Check Button, Fig.
3.
 When using alkaline/manganese batteries, push the ‘LR’ Button
 When using NiCad batteries, push the ‘NiCd’ Button, Fig. 3.
