body, then rinse with running water and dry it thoroughly before reassem-
bling.
Never immerse the jug kettle or its base in water.

dESCALING
The appliance has to be descaled regularly to ensure optimum performance.
The frequency depends on the water hardness and the boiling frequency.
1. If you begin to notice the increase of the noise during boiling, or the
kettle switches off before boiled, this indicates that descaling is neces-
sary.
Generally, the descaling should be done in the following periodicity:
With soft water, at least once every 6 months. •
With hard water, at least once every 3 months. •
2. It is highly recommended to use only descaling agent suitable for plastic
kettles.
3. Read carefully the instructions of descaling agent then operate the des-
caling process step by step.
4. After the descaling, rinse the inner of the kettle thoroughly with clean
water.
Note:
1. Never use vinegar as descaling agent.
2. In case of doubt concerning the water hardness, ask your local tap water
company.
