Install SM42-2XFP Extended Module
The switch provides 10G slot. The steps for installing SM42-2XFP module
and the XFP 10G fiber transceiver on the module are as follows:
1.
Pu
t on ESD wrist strap (or antistatic gloves);
2.
Insert the SM42-2XFP module into the inside guide rail of the 10G
extended slot;
3.
Push SM42-2XFP module along the guide rail until connecting the
front panel closely;
4.
Insert XFP transceiver into the inside guide rail of the SM42-2XFP
module. Do not put XFP transceiver up-side-down;
5.
Push the XFP transceiver until connecting the SM42-2XFP module
closely.

: XFP 10G fiber transceiver is hot-swappable.
Install SM42-2XGEF Extended Module
The switch provides 10G slot. The steps for installing SM42-2XGEF module
and the SFP
10G
fiber transceiver on the module are as follows:
1.
Put
on ESD wrist strap (or antistatic gloves);
2.
Insert the SM42-2XGEF module into the inside guide rail of the
10G extended slot;
3.
Push SM42-2XGEF module along the guide rail until connecting
the front panel closely;
4.
Insert SFP transceiver into the inside guide rail of the SM42-
2XGEF module. Do not put SFP transceiver up-side-down;
5.
Push the SFP transceiver until connecting the SM42-2XGEF
module closely.

: SFP 10G fiber transceiver is hot-swappable. SM42-2XGEF extended
module can be inserted into the
SFP
Gigabit fiber transceiver on the switch.
