Connect console cable as follow
s:
1.
Find
the console cable provided in the accessory kit. Attach one
connector of the cable to switch console port.
2.
Connect the other side of the console cable to a character terminal
(PC).
3.
Power on the switch and character terminal. Configure switch via the
character
terminal.
Install SFP Transceiver
Each line card with the Gigabit optical interface on the switch provides
multiple SFP Gigabit fiber ports.

Put on ESD wrist strap (or antistatic gloves)

Insert SFP transceiver onto the guide rail inside the SFP gigabit
optical port. Do not put SFP transceiver up-side-down.

Push SFP transceiver along the guide rail gently until you feel the
transceiver snap into place at the bottom of the slot.
