6. Operation
6.1 Operating instructions for the grinder
1. By moving the rotary knob, set the required grind degree (to the left
for coarse coffee powder, to the right for fi ner coffee powder).
2. Only
fi ll whole coffee beans into the hopper. Close the hopper.
3. Press the handle of the bag holder down and push the completely
opened bag, which has been smoothed along the folds, over the
spout. Let go of the handle and the bag is held fi rmly in position.
4. Now you can switch on the grinder. Knock the base of the bag a
number of times whilst grinding. This allows the maximum capac-
ity of the bag to be used.
5. When all the coffee has run through hold the base of the bag
loosely in one hand and with the other press the handle of the bag
holder and allow it to knock against the spout 2 or 3 times. This re-
moves any ground coffee powder which may still be attached to the
inside of the spout.
6. Now switch off the grinder and remove the fi lled bag from the
spout.
7. The grinding process is terminated.
6.2 Operating instructions for the grater
1. Remove the pusher from the feeder tube and fi ll the tube approx. ¾
full with products to be grated and then fi t it back into position.
2. Now switch the grater on.
3. The pusher pushes the products to be ground against the semi-
circular grater basket with its own weight. In this way you achieve
superb, evenly ground products. The pusher can be pushed gently
e.g., in the case of bulky products to be ground. However, under no
circumstances must you slow the motor by pushing too hard.
Only use the enclosed pusher to push goods to be
grated.
4. After the grating process is fi nished, operate the stripper (black but-
ton on the back of the grater housing). By knocking on the button,
the residues of the products grated fall into the drawer.
5. Now switch the device off and pull the drawer out of its brackets.
