5.4 Replacing the
side brushes
To replace the side brushes, first raise the side brushes and brush plates to
their highest position. The brushes can then be unscrewed easily and new
ones fitted.
5.5 Roller housing
The roller housing consists of a frame with a motor housing on the right
side plate that supports the roller’s hydraulic motor. This drives the brush
roller drum via a flexible coupling.
On the left side is a ball bearing that supports the shaft of the brush roller
drum. The sweeper roller is made up of 12 brush strips that are secured
by 6 gripper strips. Each brush strip consists of a sheet metal profile into
which a polypropylene brush is pressed. When the brush strips have
become worn they can be replaced quickly and easily.
