Edge Enhancement

Edge enhancement is used to make
the edges of lines appear sharper
and more distinct. It gives the
appearance of increased resolution,
but in reality the resolution is
determined purely by the number of
pixels, and is fixed.
The effect of edge enhancement is
illustrated in Fig
