The tie downs have a rectangular aperture 25mm x 50mm. Any hook or loop of the restraint end
fitting must fit through this hole.
The wheelchair provides for anchoring a pelvic belt restraint that conforms to the requirements
of RESNA WC19 Section 19 and ISO7176-19. The belt anchor points are shown in
Figure 9.
The seatbelt is anchored over a 14mm spigot by an M8 (minimum grade 8.8) bolt. The pelvic
belt restraint can be used in conjunction with a vehicle anchored shoulder belt with a standard
lower anchorage connector as a crashworthy three point belt restraint in motor vehicles.
Magic Mobility supply either a 600mm or 700mm compatible crashworthy wheelchair anchored
pelvic belt restraint when WC4;19/ISO7176;19 tie downs are requested. This belt is designed to
accommodate use on either side of the vehicle. The belt is equipped with standard interconnect
hardware to enable attachment of suitably equipped vehicle anchored shoulder belts. See
Figure 10
. The free end of the vehicle anchored shoulder belt is installed over the shoulder belt
connection pin.
