Connect the water supply tubing to the 
output of the water system to the 
production tubing. 

18.

 

With the tubing loaded into the tooling, 
close the 5C collet by pressing the button 
on the computer screen Labeled collet. 
Cycle the collet several times to verify 
operation.

Verify that the collet is firmly holding the 
tube by pulling on the tube while the collet 
is closed. 

20.

 

With the collet closed, locate the button labeled 

WATER

.   Press the 

WATER

 button and verify 

water flow and pressure. Cycle the function several times to verify operation.

Locate the button Labeled 

CLAMP

.   Press this button closing the clamp.  Make sure the 5C 

collet is open and lightly pull/push on the tube with the Clamp closed. The tube should not 
move. The clamp is designed to keep the tube in place when the X axis is moving back with the 
collet open so a light "pull/push" is all that is required. If required, air pressure to the clamp can 
be increased.

Locate the 

ASSIST GAS

 button on the computer screen. Press the button to activate the gas. 

Verify the required pressure. Cycle this function several times to insure operation.

Insure that there are no spots or contaminates displayed on the video screen. If there are any 
contaminates displayed the optics may require cleaning. Depending on your company’s policy 
contact the individual responsible for cleaning optics.   

24.

 

Locate the key on the computer mounting system labeled 

LASER ENABLE

 and turn it to the ON 

position. With the tube in place under the laser nozzle in the tooling, the 5C collet closed, the 
cutting clamp open activate the water. 

25.

 

With the system door closed fire the laser to insure its operation by pressing the 

OPEN 

SHUTTER

 button on the computer screen. Cycle this function sever times to insure operation.
