the screen goes dark.

(
Fn + Esc
) key combination, or press the power button if no LEDs are lit.
A software conflict made the system “crash”
. Consult your
OS
manual. As a last resort,
since you will lose any unsaved data, try to reboot the system or if that doesn’t work, turn
the computer off and on again.
The system never goes
into Hibernate mode.
Make sure you have enabled
Hibernate
in the Power Options control panel in your OS
(see
“Hibernate” on page 3 - 12
).
The system does not go
into a power saving
mode when the battery is
low.
No power saving options are enabled
. Use one of the
Power Options
presets.
The system turns goes in
to a power saving mode
when rotating the swivel
screen.
The swivel screen has accidentally hit the left LCD cover sensor, and triggered a power
saving mode, when rotating the LCD swivel screen
. It is recommended that you set the
lid
(
left LCD cover sensor
) power button to
“Do nothing”
.
Why does my computer
CPU speed show as
999MHz in the General
tab of the System
Properties control panel?
This is because the calculation method used by the Windows OS eliminates all decimal
points
. The actual CPU speed is 999.75MHz.
