6.4 Color measurements
The spectrophotometer provides the possibility to determine different color
types and furthermore allows the comparison of these with stored color refer-
ences.
After having selected this menu through , one can decide via option buttons to perform
either a color measurement or a color comparison against a reference (as far as a color
reference has been defined via the color analysis menu already). A sample description
can be inserted in the field “title”. After selecting the button “color measurement”, one
can decide on the color type to be measured; the field “light source” and “observer” are
automatically filled in. These can always be manually changed. In this case, however,
the selection of the color number automatically indicates the preference CIE L*a*b. Con-
firming with opens the measurement window. After measurement of the zero solution
and the color sample, the result will by displayed in the result window.
To analyze the color measurement select the result from the memory and press
