4.5.2 Adjusting the Rear De fl ector (Fluffer Shield)
DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup of the machine, always stop the engine and remove
the key from the ignition before leaving the operator’s seat for any reason.
The rear de fl ector ( fl uffer shield) slows the crop exiting the conditioner rolls, directs the fl ow downward, and fl uffs
the material.
1. For more crop control in light material, lower the
de fl ector (A) by pushing down on one side of the
de fl ector and then on the other side.
NOTE:
Locking handles (B) are located at both ends of
the de
fl ector and may be loosened slightly.
2. For heavier crops, raise the de fl ector by pulling up on
one side and then on the other side.
NOTE:
For even windrow formation, be sure the
de
fl ector (A) is not twisted.
3. Tighten handles (B) to secure de fl ector position.

4.5.3 Adjusting the Swath Baf fl e
The swath baf fl e determines the width and height of the windrow.
