PERFORMING PREDELIVERY CHECKS

5.

Measure the clearance (X) between points (B) and (C)
at the ends of each reel (A).

NOTE:

The reel is factory-set to provide more clearance
at the center of the reel than at the ends (frown)
to compensate for reel flexing.

6.

Check all possible points of contact between points (B)
and (C). Depending on the reel fore-aft position,
minimum clearance can result at the guard tine,
hold-down, or cutterbar.

7.

Adjust the reel if necessary. Refer to

5.10.2 Adjusting
