Maintenance
Before and after each use, check the product and accessories or attachments for
wear and damage. If required, exchange them for new ones as described in this
instruction manual. Observe the technical requirements.
Collection bag
1. Remove the collection bag (5) from the hooks (3c) of the main unit (3).
2. Clean the collection bag (5) after operation by turning it inside out and
brushing it.
3. Replace the collection bag (5) with one of the same type if it is damaged.
4. Refit it as above described.
Cutting blade
WARNING!
Always switch the product off, disconnect it from the power
supply and let it cool down before opening the cover (8) and working
on the cutting blade (16)!
Wear safety gloves when working on the cutting blade (16) and close
to it! Use proper tools to remove debris, e. g. a wooden stick! Never
use your bare hands.
Cutting blade is very sharp and become hot during use! Handle it
carefully! Wear protective gloves when handling cutting blade (16) in
order to avoid injuries like burns and cuts!
WARNING!
! Always use original spare parts for replacement.
The cutting blade must be replaced by an identification no. ref.
GS01RS.00.04. Do not attach any other type of cutting blade!
The replacement of the cutting blade (16) should be done by a qualified
specialist! Rework or sharpening blades is not recommended unless it
is done by a repair service or a similarly qualified specialist!
1. Keep the cutting blade (16) clean and free of debris. Remove clippings from
the discharge chute (20).
2. Check all fasteners, such as nuts and bolts, periodically for tightness before
operation. After prolonged use, the cutting blade (16) will become worn and
lose some of the original shape. The cutting efficiency will be reduced and the
cutting blade (16) should be replaced.
3. Keep the cutting blade (16) sharp to ensure a good cutting performance.
Replace a worn or damaged cutting blade with a new one of the same type or
have it sharpened by a qualified specialist.
4. Loosen the locking knob (6) anti-clockwise (Fig. 12, step 1) and open the
cover (8).
5. Lift the cover (8) from the main unit (3) to remove it (Fig. 12, step 2).
6. Take off the hex key (22) from the hex key holder (14) (Fig. 12, step 3).
