Check for Opacity
The image stage of this system is black. Often, a barcode is less opaque than is
desired (that is the substrate is semi-translucent). If this is the case, it is
recommended that a sheet of paper be placed onto the image stage. Typically
the color of this paper would be white. But, if the barcode label being evaluated is
even slightly translucent, the background color should match the background of
the product to which the barcode label will ultimately be attached. This is how the
INTEGRA 9500/9505 checks for opacity.
Color Codes
The system reports ISO/IEC grades by a color code. The bottom right of the
Grading Tab
screen shows a legend of these color codes which correspond to
the ISO/ANSI grading system (see figure on next page). This color code is also
used on the
SRP View Tab
screen.
