3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Aed Distribution® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Keep this device away from dust and extreme temperatures. Make sure the ventilation
openings are clear at all times.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
 Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it. Do not allow operation by
unqualified people. Any damage that may occur will most probably be due to unprofessional use of the
device.
 All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user modifications to
the device is not covered by the warranty.
 Only use the device for its intended purpose. All other uses may lead to short circuits, burns, electroshocks,
lamp explosion, crash, etc. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
 Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the
dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
 A qualified technician should install and service this device.
 Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to changes in temperature. Protect the
device against damage by leaving it switched off until it has reached room temperature.
 This device is designed for professional use on stage, in discos, theatres, etc. The device should only be
used indoors with an alternating current of 230 VAC, 50 Hz.
 This lighting effect is a blinder and is designed to operate briefly at full power. Do not use this device at full
power for longer than 10 seconds.
 Use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
 Keep this manual for future reference.
4. Features
 professional DMX-controlled stage blinder for stage, clubs and studios
 each set of 2 lamps is separately adjustable to choose the requested angle
 for 4 x PAR36 DWE 650 W / 120 V lamps.
5. Installation
Lamps
 Only fit or replace a lamp when the device is unplugged from the mains.
 Let a lamp cool down before replacing it as the temperature of a lamp can
reach 700 °C during operation.
 Do not install lamps with a higher wattage than that for which this device was
designed.
Replace any deformed or damaged lamp with a lamp of the same type (see
“Technical Specifications”):
1.
Unscrew the screw at the top holding the vented lid and gently remove the
lid.
2. Remove the old lamp and insert the new one.
3. Carefully reposition the lid and fasten the screw.
Warning: Do not operate the device when the cover is open.
Mounting the Device
 Have the device installed by a qualified person, respecting EN 60598-2-17 and all other applicable norms.
 The carrying construction must be able to support 10 times the weight of the device for 1 hour without
deforming.
 The installation must always be secured with a secondary attachment e.g. a safety cable.
