Now you can install the asphalt felt. Treat the felt with care so that it will not tear. Measure the length of the
roof parallel to the side walls, and cut sheets the length of the roof with exactly 90 degrees corners. Start laying
the roofing felt parallel to the eaves - be sure to allow an overhang of 2-3 cm - this is the best way of protecting
the roof planks from dampness.
Fasten the felt on the eaves very carefully with nails at intervals of 10 cm in order to prevent the wind from
lifting the felt. Fasten then the next felts with an overlap of appr. 10 cm. Continue installing the asphalt felt in
numerical order
shown in the
The ridge felt is folded in the middle and fastened with nails in
both sides and in the middle.
