Do not use when power cord is twisted.
Do not use when power cord is bundled.
(Risk of disconnection, short circuit, electric shock,
fire, etc.)
Do not damage the power cord.
This includes damaging, forcefully bending,
pulling, twisting, bundling, placing heavy items
on top of the cord, pinching, altering, or placing
near the high temperature area.

Do not operate the device when the power cord
or plug is damaged, when the power cord or
plug becomes hot, or when loosely plugged in,
if there is an abnormal sound, or foul smell, or
when the device does not operate normally.
Immediately stop using the device and unplug
from the power source. Please refer to
“Troubleshooting” (Page 15) to pinpoint the type
of damage and the cause or contact the Repair
Center regarding inspection and/or repairs.

This device is only to be used on human hair. Do
not use it on infants or pets. Do not use it on
shoes or clothing etc.

Close supervision is necessary when the device
is used by, on, or near children or those who
would need assistance.

Do not operate near aerosol (spray) products or
other flammable materials such as alcohol,
gasoline, paint thinner, petroleum-based
solvents, or nail polish remover.

Do not use hairspray or any other flammable
styling product when using this device.

Do not use this appliance while bathing or in
the shower.

Disassembling the device and/or repairs should
only be conducted by a trained professional.

Do not use the appliance or unplug the device
with wet hands.

Do not immerse the device in water or get water
on the device. Do not attempt to wash the
device. In the device does get wet, immediately
unplug the device. Do not attempt to pick it up.
If the device has fallen into water, call the Repair
Center (on page 16) to discuss inspection/repairs.

During and immediately after use be sure that
hands or skin (ears, forehead or neck etc.) do not
come in contact with the highlighted area below.
When in use, make sure the high temperature
area is kept more than 3 cm. from the skin.
Caution is especially necessary near the bangs,
roots of the hair (near the scalp,) and near the ears.
Do not open the clamp near the skin.
Be careful that fingers etc. do not come into
contact with the high temperature area when
gripping a section of hair.
Do not place on a sofa, carpet, or plastic surface,
or any other material that may melt while the
device is still hot.

Do not drop or bang the device against another
surface. If you have dropped or banged the
device, contact the Repair Center to ask about
inspections/repairs.

Do not press the buttons in an excessively hard
manner, or intermittently push them when not
necessary.
