STRAIGHT AND CURL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Read the user’s manual and the safety instructions
carefully before using for the first time.

1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• For your safety, this appliance complies with the applicable standards and regula-
tions (Low Voltage Directive, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Environmental…).
• The appliance’s accessories become very hot during use. Avoid contact with
the skin. Make sure that the supply cord never comes into contact with the hot
parts of the appliance.
• Check that the voltage of your electricity supply matches the voltage of your
appliance.
Any error when connecting the appliance can cause irreparable harm, not cov-
ered by the guarantee.
• As an additional safety measure, we recommend the installation of a residual
current difference device in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom,act-
ing at not more than 30 mA.Ask your installer for advice.

The installation of the appliance and its use must however comply with the
standards in force in your country.

Caution : Never use your appliance with wet hands or near water
contained in bath tubs, showers, sinks or other containers…
• When using the appliance in the bathroom, unplug it after use as the presence of
water nearby may pose a danger even when the appliance is turned off.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with re-
duced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concern-
ing use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Stop using your appliance and contact an Authorised Service Centre if:
- your appliance has fallen.
- it does not work correctly.
• The appliance must be unplugged:
- before cleaning and maintenance procedures.
- if it is not working correctly.
- as soon as you have finished using it.
- if you leave the room, even momentarily.
• Do not use if the cord is damaged.
• Do not immerse or put under running water, even for cleaning purposes.
• Do not hold with damp hands.
• Do not hold the appliance by the casing, which is hot, but by the handle.
• Do not unplug by pulling on the cord, rather pull out by the plug.
• Do not use an electrical extension lead.
• Do not clean with abrasive or corrosive products.
• Do not use at temperatures below 0°C and above 35°C.
GUARANTEE:
Your appliance is designed for use in the home only. It should not be used for
professional purposes. The guarantee becomes null and void in the case of im-
proper usage.
2. USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Your appliance heats up very quickly and the temperature remains stable
throughout use:
• Plug the device in.
• Press the on/off button (A) for 2 to 3 seconds
• Wait for just 1 minute, your appliance is ready to use.
• Select the ideal temperature for your hair by using the “+” and “-” temperature
switch (C)
• You can activate the Ionic function by pressing the corresponding button (D).
The button lights up when the function is activated.
• To turn off, press the on/off button (A) for 2 to 3 seconds
• After use, unplug the appliance, place it on a heat-resistant, flat, stable surface
and leave it to cool down completely before putting it away.
3. USE
Your hair must be DRY, clean and tangle free to avoid damaging it.
Do not use the appliance on synthetic hair (wigs, extensions, etc.)
I STRAIGHTENING FUNCTION
• Open up the straightening plates using the function selector switch (I).
• Take a small lock of hair a few centimetres wide, comb it and place it between
the plates.
• Close the plates firmly and slide the appliance slowly down the length of hair
from the root to the tip of the hair.
• You can adjust the temperature during the straightening process by using the
+ and – buttons (C).
• The ceramic coating of the plates protects your hair against excessive temper-
atures, by distributing the heat in a uniform manner.
• Wait until your straightened hair has cooled down before styling it.
HAIRDRESSER’S TIP
• To avoid a stripy effect forming along the length of your hair, ensure your
movement when straightening hair is smooth and continuous.
• To emphasise the effect, you can apply a hair styling mousse before straight-
ening.
II-CURLING FUNCTION
• Close the straightening plates to obtain the curling iron function, using the
function selector switch (I).
• Form a lock of hair 2 to 3 cm wide.
• Open the grip (H) by pressing down on the lever (G) and slip the tip of your
hair between the tube and the grip.
• Release the grip (H) to close it.
• Check that the tip of your hair is rolled around the grip, in the direction of the
curl.
• Use your other hand to support the stay cool tip (K).
• Turn the appliance in order to wind the lock of hair around the appliance.
• Carry on turning the lock of hair, moving up towards the scalp, taking care not
to burn yourself.

• Keep the curling iron in this position for around 20 seconds (longer for tighter
curls).
• Unravel the curling iron halfway and then open the hair grip by pressing
down on the lever to release the hair.
· Repeat as often as necessary using a new section of hair to make new curls.
HAIRDRESSER’S TIP
• To give more volume: you can divide the curls up with your fingers.
• To obtain very tight curls: only wind small sections of hair around the appli-
ance at a time.
• For more wavy curls: wind bigger sections of hair around the appliance.
• To ensure the hair ends behave themselves: check that the ends are properly
wound under the hair grip, in the direction of the curl.
• For a more natural wave result, after your curls have cooled down you can
gently comb or brush your hair.

4. MAINTENANCE
• Unplug the appliance and leave it to cool down on a heat-resistant, flat, stable
surface placed on its rest. (L).
• Only clean the appliance once it has cooled down completely.
• Wipe the handle using a gentle damp cloth.
• Never introduce water or any other liquid into the handle.
5. ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION FIRST!
Your appliance contains valuable materials which can be recovered
or recycled.
Leave it at a local civic waste collection point.
