When entering a password, as shown for the

screen, otherwise it would be impossible to determine what letter is being entered!  To ensure 
confidentiality, enter the password while no one else can see the screen. 
 

Software 

The Quantum™ software is a useful tool for advanced users seeking additional analytical capabilities 
for their Model 702i and 711i spectra.  The Quantum software is supplied in two basic 

configurations, Quantum MCA and Quantum Gold. 
Quantum MCA, a subset of Quantum Gold, is the "standard" software and provides qualitative, but 

not quantitative analysis. Qualitative analysis will allow analyzing for the type of isotope present, but 
not how much of each isotope is present. Certain features, such as background subtraction, are 

considered part of the quantitative analysis package and are not available in Quantum MCA. 
Quantum Gold supports both quantitative and qualitative analysis, and is the software the Quantum 

software manual is written for.
