Vanliga frågor och svar
Recommendations for optimal camera usage.
• Position the camera and the receiver with as few obstacles as posible
between the two units.
• Position the camera and the receiver 1,5-2 meters above ground.
• Position the receiver higher than the camera.
• To move the camera or the receiver as short as 15-30 cm can make a
big difference in terms of picture quality.
Is the signal between the camera and the receiver encrypted?
The signal between the camera and the receiver is not encrypted and is
not possible to encrypt. To capture the signal someone has to be within
the range of the camera (100 meters at a clear “line of sight”) with a
receiver that operates on the same frequency.
What does a clear “line of sight” mean?
With a clear line of sight it is meant that no objects what so ever (walls,
trees etc.) can be found between the camera and the receiver. In a clear
line of sight at ground level the range is approximately 100 meters. If
you place your camera above ground, for example on an RC-airplane,
you can count on getting a longer range due to the fact that the signal is
transmitted above ground level. In a concrete building with several walls
between the camera and the receiver the range can decrease to 15-30
meters. In a building made of wood you can expect a range of approx. 50
meters. The pictures will gradually worsen and become more and more
blurry when the camera gets too far away from the receiver.
Why does the picture quality decrease when the camera is in
motion?
When carrying the camera or if it is positioned on an RC car/airplane
smaller disturbances might appear in the picture. This is due to the fact
that the signal towards the receiver is constantly transmitted from different
angels.
