PRACTICAL STITCHES

Set the machine as illustrated.
Turn the switch width dial and stitch length dial to
suit the fabric.

Shell hem (A)

For decorative edges. 3~5
Suitable for edges on sheer, fine, and stretch fabrics.
The larger stitch should go just over the edge of the
fabric to create the shell effect.

 

Crescent stitch (B)

For a delicate edge finish along the edge of the
fabric.
Stitch length should be set from “0.5” – “1.0”
This stitch can be used for the firm, thicker fabrics.

Rampart (C)

For flat joining seams, sewing on elastic, visible hems.
This stitch can be used for the firm, thicker fabrics.
